CWT and EMG's journey began in 2001, initially referral by The Melbourne Town Hall. Being based in Sydney, CWT was looking to hold their Annual Awards Gala in Melbourne and needed to partner with a company for inspiration for the theming and entertainment aspects of their event.
From the success of the 2001 event, EMG was trusted to produce the 2002 Gala Awards in Sydney and continue to do so to this day.
After the success of the 2001 event, EMG was then trusted to produce the 2002 Gala in Sydney and have been successfully producing the event for the last 10 years. The success of the relationship is in part due to our commitment to understanding the changes within the CWT business over this time. This has enabled us to evolve the Gala to be relevant to their people and stakeholders year on year. With any successful partnership change is inevitable and by establishing relationships on a platform of mutual trust and respect, EMG continues to deliver for CWT truly memorable events.

Change from traditional sit down dinner to Awards style presentation. The Barbies introduced. New 20m x 5m projection screen from Europe launched.
With an 'Awards' theme in mind, and EMG's understanding of CWT's expectations and personality, EMG devised 'The Barbies' - CWT's own hilarious take on The Grammy's. The Barbies is a program which allows every office within the country to participate in developing a four minute movie around the event theme. These videos are then shown at the event with awards given for Best Male/Female Actor and Best Movie. This element has become a highlight of the Gala for each team to see what the other has come up with plus it has allowed the entire organisation to engage in the event.
