Augmented reality, virtual reality, touch based software, colour recognition and gesture recognition are all examples of what is often referred to as “immersive technology” – programs that allow us to have a deeper engagement with a brand, concept or message. Brands are often looking for ways to leverage technology to create further interaction and emotional connection with their audience and one of those ways is by creating beautiful, stimulating and moving 3D images on buildings, temporary structures or even stages – this technology is called “3D Projection Mapping”.
Projection mapping uses either off the shelf or custom made software to display images and motion graphics on a large scale, onto a surface to create a seamless edge to edge screen. Whilst we love to incorporate this type of tech into a lot of our clients projects, seeing the reactions on guests faces at the event – we are constantly in awe of examples of this type of execution from around the world, below are a few of our favourites:
